South Texas Summer knits need to be light and full of cotton - and so cool! Juniper Moon Farm's Cumulus sure fits the bill!
This lovely yarn is 94% cotton and 6% nylon with 251 yards per 3.52 oz skein. This is a worsted weight yarn.
We made an awesome baby blanket - or lap robe - Shadow Afghan by Gilda Ongkeko, which is a free pattern for download via Ravelry. Just takes two skeins of the Cumulus Rainbow AND two skeins of a solid colorway (e.g., Narwal or Pearl). The easy knitting and purling make a great effect - and the feel of the blanket at the end is over the top.
