This is a special "bonus color" for April - and it is striking! Ancient Art's theme for 2023 is Interesting Archeological Sites, and this colorway takes is further into the ancient Aztecs.
Ancient Arts Socknado is a yummy and squashy fingering weight yarn. Each 100 gram skein of Socknado has 385 yards (350 meters) of 80% superwash fine merino / 20% nylon goodness.

The language of the Aztecs was called the Nahuatl language. Aztec writing built upon previous Mesoamerican cultures and was an adaptation of previous writing systems that existed in Central Mexico. The Aztecs developed the technique of pictograms and wrote a variety of codices to transfer oral knowledge. These codices are works of art, and some showing the priests of Tezcatlipoca, the god of change who is associated with the Jaguar, are particularly striking and inspired a bonus colourway of their own!
